A. Full Legal Name: Waterlin Stewardship District
B. Public Purpose: The Waterlin Stewardship District is an independent special district created and existing pursuant to Chapter 2025-238, Laws of Florida, House Bill No. 4043. It is located in Osceola County, Florida, with a specific purpose of providing comprehensive and responsible long-term development and management of approximately 5,960 acres of land. The district is governed by a five-member board, initially elected by landowners and transitioning to election by qualified electors as the population grows. The district is empowered to provide a wide range of services and infrastructure, including water management, utilities, roads, transportation, environmental conservation, recreational facilities, and economic development, while being subject to Osceola County’s comprehensive plan and development regulations.
